I ran into Mrs. Alice and we talked about some thread I had recently got. So, here is the thread! Probably not all that interesting to some, but… Anyway, the purples, red and brighter green I bought thinking of my 2008 mystery quilt. Tirzah’s mystery quilt may use the red also. The oh, (is it straw color?), we are also thinking about Tirzah’s mystery quilt. But, on the color card,( you can see it in the back), they had a light pink, so she may rethink that choice. Oh, the cream we were also thinking of Tirzah’s mystery quilt. The darker neutral color we are thinking of using on a t-shirt quilt Esther made for her dad. I have opened the snow color, and am using that color on the quilt on the frame now. Buying thread can be as fun as buying fabric! Oh, quilting can be FUN!

A quilt Esther made
This is a little cheater cloth quilt that Esther “made.” It looks like a game board, with the words in Spanish and English. We found the fabric at Hancock’s. I quilted it with just a stipple.
Christmas jacket finally done!
I finished the jacket I started in July. I know too late for Christmas, but hey, it looks good! Thanks Mrs. Alice and Judy for the class to make it!

Fabric storage

This is the before picture of Tirzah with her pile for fabric and the package of 100 backing boards. We wrapped the fabric around the boards as I read on this blog: http://featheredfibers.wordpress.com/2008/02/28/fabric-stash-organization-and-tutorial/

Tirzah and I wrapping the boards with the fabric.

Tirzah’s fabric finished.

More wrapping. Notice the box of my fabrics that we have finished so far!

Pictures of “Walk Through the Woods,” a quilt that I made for Joshua. One is a close up of several of the blocks, one of the whole quilt, one of one block, and one of the back.
